Mugi miso consists of organic soybeans and barley. The delicious taste is due to the authentic production process and very long fermentation process of at least 12 months. The producer has generations of experience and unprecedented passion for the profession. If you want to flavor your dishes with a real Japanese flavor maker, then mugi miso is a great choice. It is good to use as a substitute for the bouillon cube, in wok and stew dishes or as a base for sauces and marinades. Mugi miso is moderately strong in taste and is slightly saltier than genmai miso.
