• Until the 80s, the Quevedo family sold their grapes to major famous port producers. Then the rules and regulations changed. Grape farmers from the Douro Valley were also allowed to make their own port. And the Quevedo family is now doing well. Their colorful mix of local grapes grow on the steep slopes on the banks of the Douro River. From touriga franca, tinta roriz, tinta barroca, tinta nacional and other native grapes, they make this Ruby Port. It is fruity with the taste of raisins, black currants, blackberries and plum jam. A powerful, sweet fortified wine with 19.5% alcohol. Drink it as an aperitif or with desserts with chocolate. Also delicious with a cheese board with blue cheeses.
