• The wines of Montaignan come from the southern part of the Languedoc, at the foot of the Pyrenees.
• The French word for mountain is therefore montagne. In addition to this merlot, the Montaignan wines are also available as chardonnay, rosé or syrah. For this merlot, the grapes are planted on a soil rich in limestone and clay. To emphasize its fruity character, the wine is not aged in oak barrels, but in cement vats. This ensures that you taste cherries, plums, dried herbs and black pepper. The wine has pleasant tannins and is an ideal house wine. Drink it as an aperitif or with a piece of cheese or sausage. Also tasty with a stamp pot with a meatball.
