Village Hope works to reduce poverty in the rural areas of Sierra Leone by creating trained farmers who grow high-quality organic products and thus earn a steady income. Together we have set up the production of the first superior quality cocoa from the region. A region that was previously known for low-quality cocoa.
Together with the farmers, we have worked on building and setting up central fermentation and drying, which has ensured an enormous improvement in quality. The genetic background of the native cocoa is Trinitario cocoa from the Caribbean, an absolute fine flavor cocoa. What you can really taste thanks to the quality and process improvements!
