• Ho-blad has chemically many similarities with Rosewood. Also, the scent is almost identical to that of Rosewood. The Ho-tree is a beautiful tree with green evergreen, glossy leaves and is a family member of the Cinnamon and Camphor trees and, like Rosewood, belongs to the Laurel family. The leaves can be harvested 2 x per year without damaging the tree. Ho-blad oil is distilled by steam distillation of the leaves of the Ho-tree (Ho Sho, Chinese Camphor tree). The oil is colorless to light yellow and has a light woody scent with a floral tone that resembles roses.
