Waterval Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 750 ml

Description

South African dry white wine from the Western Cape. The grapes are planted in the sub-regions Breedekloof, Worcester, Robertson, McGregor and Bonnievale. It is a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc with 30% Semillon. A very common mix. This blend is also used in Bordeaux. Only the names of the grapes are not so prominently mentioned on the label. The Sauvignon Blanc gives the wine freshness with the taste of citrus, green apple and fresh green herbs. The Semillon is just fuller in taste with tropical fruit, yellow apple and the scent of flowers. Together they are well balanced. Drink this Waterval wine as an aperitif or in combination with salads, light fish dishes or chicken.

"Semillion always goes well with Sauvignon. They can talk about that in Bordeaux. The blend gets a little more color on its cheeks. puts more meat on the bones. That yields beeswax in addition to the well-known boxwood. Green apple and lemon. Peach and pear report. Waterval falls into place."
