From Dutch Sugar Beets
Our Sugar Beets
Our sugar beets are grown on Dutch soil. The sugar beet is actually the sugar factory. During the
growing season, sugar is formed in the beet plant through a combination of sunlight and water and stored in the beet plant.
During the beet campaign in the autumn, the sugar beets are harvested. At the factories in Groningen and
Dinteloord, the crystal sugar is extracted from the beet. The chain from beet to sugar is efficient and sustainable.
Our growers
The fields of our 9,000 growers are close to our factories. Sugar beets have been grown on these lands for over 100 years
. All growers are certified (food safety) and care for the environment, the
environment and the landscape.
A healthy soil is the foundation, you have to take good care of it!
