The story
In 1945, Aat van Dobben opened his sandwich shop on the Korte Reguliersdwarsstraat in the heart of Amsterdam. Here, the famous Van Dobben sandwich was born: a croquette from his own kitchen, on a fresh white roll, with a little butter. The news about these delicious croquettes spread like wildfire and soon there were queues to the corner of the street. Today, the croquettes with their unadulterated Van Dobben taste are still old-fashioned delicious and equally loved.

We naturally still prepare the Van Dobben beef bitterballs according to the original Amsterdam recipe. Our bitterballs, with their soft flowing ragout, pieces of tender beef and a wonderfully crispy crust, are suitable for preparation in Airfryer and oven.
