- Tahini is also called sesame paste, because it is made from 100% unpeeled, organic sesame seeds. We add nothing, because that would detract from the pure quality. Tahini has a rich, slightly savory taste and is wonderfully creamy in structure. It is often used in homemade hummus, but is also delicious as a base for other sauces, dressings and even all kinds of sweet dishes.
