• Roche Mazet is a very popular wine brand from the French Languedoc. This rosé is made from the accessible Merlot grape. To keep the wine fresh, the grapes are harvested at night and in the early morning. Part of the grapes are pressed directly. The other part for this wine is obtained by the 'saignée method'. Saignée literally means 'bleeding'. The idea here is that the grapes are lightly pressed and, by their own weight, only the best juice flows from the grapes in a natural way. Or actually bleeds. The result is a light, fresh and floral rosé with the taste of light red and tropical fruit. Delicious with vegetarian dishes or light appetizers.
