• Tea tree is an evergreen tree and has nothing in common with the tea shrub (Camellia sinensis), but is a myrtle family native to Australia.
• Of the more than 300 Melaleuca varieties, only Melaleuca alternifolia produces the unique teatree oil. As far as the ingredients are concerned, the cineol and terpinen-4-ol content is checked and evaluated. In general, a cineol content of less than 5% and a terpinen-4-ol content of at least 30% combines the quality that is skin-friendly with optimum effectiveness.
