• The Nero Oro wines come from the largest island in the Mediterranean: Sicily. Nero Oro literally means 'black gold'. A reference to the two most important grapes of this winery: nero d'avola and grillo. However, the Nero Oro Rosé is made from a completely different grape: nerello mascalese. This special quality grape is also used for Etna Rosso: the red wines that are made at the foot of the Etna volcano. For this rosé, the nerello mascalese comes from the central part of the island. The wine only remains in contact with the skins of the grapes for three hours, hence the light pink color. You will discover the scent of roses, violets, raspberries and strawberries. Delicious with fish, salads or chicken.
