Description

The yellow corn tortillas are still prepared according to an authentic recipe, in which the corn undergoes the so-called "nixtamalization process". An authentic preparation method (as the Mayans once did) for making corn flour for the tortillas. The smell can be very concentrated when the packaging is opened, which is different from the more well-known wheat tortillas. Because the yellow corn tortillas are vacuum-packed, this smell will also linger more strongly. But as soon as you heat the tortillas, this smell will almost completely evaporate.
