• Do you have pain in the bottom of your foot when you walk? Some people talk about a feeling of warmth, others say it feels like they are stepping on nails with their forefoot, still others have the impression of a burn... Some remove the callus or corn under the foot. Regardless of the description, it is often synonymous with an intense pain that hinders walking. This pain in the bottom of the foot usually corresponds to wear and tear of the foot pad, a fatty tissue that serves to distribute the pressure. The wear and tear can be due to age, but also to a heavy load on the forefoot (as a result of previous sports) or prolonged standing. To bridge the wear and tear of the foot pad, EPITACT® has developed a silicone gel that distributes the pressure, a real replacement for the foot pad: Epithelium 26®. It has been integrated into a foot pad so that it can be worn discreetly in any shoe.
