Description

  • Orange is an essential oil obtained by cold pressing the ripe fruit peel. The yield of essential oil is approximately 0.5%. This means that no less than 200 kg of ripe orange peels are needed for 1 liter of oil. The color of the oil is yellow to orange, depending on the place and origin, and the scent is very recognizable. It is a fresh, sweet, lively and fruity scent. The orange is a small, evergreen tree with fragrant, white flowers and shiny leaves. The tree grows up to 6 meters high and originally comes from China. The tree is smaller than the bitter orange, where neroli and petitgrain are distilled, among other things.
  • Orange is often used in the kitchen and is delicious in sweet treats such as cookies and cake. Also add a few drops to a jar of honey. Delicious on a croissant. With citrus oils it is important that you use an oil of organic quality in the kitchen. This is because pressed citrus oils may contain residues of pesticides. With organic quality this is of course not the case!
