• The Buontalenti wines are named after Bernardo Buontalenti. He was the house architect of the Medici in the sixteenth century, the famous Italian banking family from Florence. This wine also comes from Tuscany, more precisely from one of the largest protected regions of Italy: Chianti. This region has the highest classification of DOCG. The grapes for this wine are grown organically. It is a blend of sangiovese supplemented with 10% canaiolo and 5% colorino. This robust wine is given the addition Superiore because it matures in oak barrels for a year. That gives the taste of vanilla. You will also taste black cherries, spices, present acids and firm tannins. Serve it with grilled beef, Parmesan cheese or pasta with tomato sauce.
