Description

Epsom salt is a different kind of salt than kitchen salt. It is a mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate and is composed of small colorless crystals that resemble kitchen salt. Epsom salt has endless applications and should certainly not be missing in your household.

- Bath salt - epsom salts are well absorbed into the body in warm water, the salt can have a therapeutic effect.
- Scrub salt - rub a handful of epsom salt over a damp skin to remove dead skin cells. Afterwards, the skin feels softer and looks healthier.
- Foot bath - add half a cup of epsom salt to a foot bath
- Natural facial cleanser - mix a teaspoon of epsom salt with your regular facial cleanser for easy cleaning.
- Extra volume - mix some conditioner with epsom salt and let it sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse your hair for extra volume.
- Caked pans - sprinkle some epsom salt in your dirty dish before you start scrubbing. The texture of epsom salt makes stuck food easier to release without damaging cookware.
- Hand soap - mix 1 part epsom salt with 1 part baby oil to make a moisturizing hand soap.
- Washing machine cleaning - fill the empty washing machine with warm water, add 250ml of vinegar and a cup of epsom salt. Let the machine run for about 1 minute and then stop the cycle. Let the solution work for 1 hour.
