• Pinotage is a grape that you only find in South Africa. It was developed by humans by crossing two existing grapes (pinot noir and cinsault) with each other. Bloemfontein from the Western Cape makes this grape, together with shiraz, a sturdy blend. Both grapes can withstand the heat of the South African sun. And you can taste that in the wine. Together they provide an intense, dark and robust glass of red wine. Bloemfontein Pinotage-Shiraz tastes like black fruit such as blackberries and berries. You will also taste mocha, pure chocolate and vanilla. Thanks to its powerful taste, this is a good combination with meat from the barbecue, spareribs, steak, grilled aubergine or with a winter stew.
