In 1865, Francesco Bertolli founded a local shop in the city of Lucca, in the heart of Tuscany. In this small local shop, he sold typical regional products from the Tuscan region, such as olive oil, wine, cheese and olives. The building where the company was founded at the time still stands. At that time, the passion for delicious food from Bertolli arose. Bertolli's olive oil history spans more than 160 years and Bertolli is now the world's number 1 olive oil brand.
